Former United States ambassador to the U.N., John Bolton appeared on Fox News on Thursday, explaining why he believes that the upcoming meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Barack Obama is going to be a “very unpleasant” one.

He said it is “no accident” that the Unites States is sending senior officials to meet with Israeli leaders prior to the “crucial sit-down” between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu on March 5th.

The visits of General Martin Dempsey, U.S. National Security Advisor Thomas Danilon, and Director of Intelligence Tom Clapper to the region, he said, are all unremitting attempts at dissuading Israel from attacking Iran. It is more like “an invasion plan of the United States invading Israel, as opposed to dealing with the real problem, which is Iran,” Bolton claimed.

“The reason you see these top officials going to the region,” he continued, is that they are telling Prime Minister Netanyahu that he “better give President Obama the answer he wants to hear” during their upcoming meeting, which is that Israel will not attack Iran. “Netanyahu is not going to say that,” he said. “This is going to be a very unpleasant meeting between the two leaders when it occurs.“

The man knows what he’s talking about, but he doesn’t go far enough.

Mr. Bolton, the real problem is not just Iran, but the entire compliment of the #HeilObama administration and their hell-bent mission to help destroy freedom anywhere and everywhere they can touch and reach.

Also…… Many of us have been imparting the opinion for quite a long time, that as Commander In Chief Of The Armed Forces Of The United States, Barack Hussein Obama, will order the United States military to stop Israel from defending herself.

The Joint Chiefs Of Staff and commanding generals are all now his administration’s political appointees, confirmed by the (complicit and now almost irrelevant) Senate.

Vice President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi is expected to be rubber stamped in an election that ends the 33-year reign of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hailed the vote as “another important step forward in their [Yemen's] democratic transition process.”

Maldives update.

(AP) – The president of the Maldives has appointed a commission to investigate his rise to power and street violence that followed in the Indian Ocean archipelago two weeks ago, an official said Wednesday.

The Maldives envoy to Sri Lanka, Hussain Shihab, told reporters that President Mohammed Waheed Hassan appointed the three-member commission following widespread calls for an investigation.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Barack Obama in Washington on March 5.

According to Obama’s National Security Adviser Tom Donilon the two leaders will discuss the “full range of security issues of mutual concern.”

Netanyahu will be in Washington to address the annual policy conference of the influential pro-Israel lobby AIPAC, which will be held on March 4-6.

MALE, Feb 17 (Reuters) – Thousands of supporters of former Maldivian president Mohamed Nasheed rallied peacefully in the capital as Commonwealth ministers arrived to investigate the circumstances of his abrupt exit from power last week.

There were no uniformed security officers present, in an apparent attempt to keep tempers cool.

The team from the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group, the 54-nation organisation’s democracy watchdog, arrived for what is expected to be a four-day visit to investigate Nasheed’s exit. Surujrattan Rambachan, foreign affairs minister of Trinidad and Tobago, is leading the team.

The group, empowered to take action and sanction Commonwealth nations it finds have violated Commonwealth principles, is one of several diplomatic initiatives afoot.

MALE, Maldives (AP) – Authorities in the Maldives on Tuesday asked former President Mohamed Nasheed to make a police statement on his controversial order to the military to arrest a top judge, a move that ended in his ouster from power last week. They say Nasheed has refused.
